Drinking and fighting.

Killer knockouts in street and bar fights.

Ways to avoid a bar fight:

1. Stay aware:

The most effective way to avoid a bar fight is by avoiding the possibility altogether. This requires situational awareness.

2. Keep your cool.

Sometimes you cannot anticipate an aggressive environment from developing. If someone gets in your face, resist the temptation to push back in any way. Do not exchange insults or any physical aggression. Keep a safe distance from the aggressor and be ready to defend your self if attacks you. Never turn your back.

3. Inform security:

When all else fails, talk to security about the instigator. If there is not a security guard, find a bouncer or even the bartender. Bar staff do not want fights and will do what it takes to kick people like this out.

Police said a man entered Otto Miller Hall with a shotgun and opened fire shortly before 3:30 p.m. The gunman was busy reloading when a student, who was working as the building monitor, confronted and subdued the gunman using pepper spray. "Once on the ground, other students jumped on top of them, and they were able to pin the shooter to the ground until police arrived," said Seattle Police Capt. Chris Fowler.

Various Martial Arts and real world Self- Defense Part 1 by George Mimmis

Here we see the defender immobilized the attacker but at the same time he has remained static himself. In a case the perpetrator has accomplices our defender is vulnerable to an attack. Also with this technique he does not control the hands of the opponent who if he is armed with a knife or other sharp object can easily stab him. Here is a violated basic rule of self-defense: "Never stand still and never put yourself to a dead end."

Dangerous gun disarming techniques . Part 9 - By George Mimmis

You must clear and control the muzzle when doing a gun disarm. You must clear it off of yourself and  not direct it towards another innocent person. You must have control of that gun so they can’t pull it back or just randomly fire and hit other people. That means wrapping your hand and fingers securely around the slide. No fingers in front of the muzzle!

Self-defense using a knife by George Mimmis

If you ever need to defend your life using a knife you have to surprise your opponent. Pull your knife unexpectedly and be quick and ruthless. Prefer to stab rather than cut. Go for the thoracic area, the neck, the femoral artery, the anus, the brachial artery or the groin. You must have a knife that is easy to deploy and you must carry it in a way that is easy to pull it when the need arise.

Chose a knife with a strait blade and keep the edge razor sharp. Avoid knives with curved blades (you can't stab).

Fighting in the dark by George Mimmis

Most crimes happen at night and in low light conditions. So most of your training should be in a low light environment.

You don't need only muscle memory
(to perform a task automatically through repetition) for your body but also for your
eyes to rely on peripheral more than central vision.
With the Raptor Krav Maga self-defense system you learn to fight in the dark.
Darkness will be your friend and not your enemy.
It will offer you cover and unpleasant surprises to the attacker.
