The most effective way to avoid a bar fight is by avoiding the possibility altogether. This requires situational awareness.
2. Keep your cool.
Sometimes you cannot anticipate an aggressive environment from developing. If someone gets in your face, resist the temptation to push back in any way. Do not exchange insults or any physical aggression. Keep a safe distance from the aggressor and be ready to defend your self if attacks you. Never turn your back.
3. Inform security:
When all else fails, talk to security about the instigator. If there is not a security guard, find a bouncer or even the bartender. Bar staff do not want fights and will do what it takes to kick people like this out.
If you are immobilized and you can not use your arms and legs to defend yourself then you are a sitting duck. In a street fight there are no rules , no honor just survival.
Street fights tend to be dangerous. People are inclined to take violence further. Confrontations can devolve into brutal beatings with life-changing consequences.

A Seattle Pacific University student managed to subdue a suspected gunman after three people were injured and one killed, during a shooting on campus Thursday afternoon.
Police said a man entered Otto Miller Hall with a shotgun and opened fire shortly before 3:30 p.m. The gunman was busy reloading when a student, who was working as the building monitor, confronted and subdued the gunman using pepper spray.
"Once on the ground, other students jumped on top of them, and they were able to pin the shooter to the ground until police arrived," said Seattle Police Capt. Chris Fowler.
You can spend your time pleasantly while you are learning various martials arts but this does not gives you automatically the ability to defend yourself effectively in a case of a violent attack.
Crime attacks do not happen in the controlled area of a ring but everywhere! They are unpredictable and it doesn't exist any rule or a referee, only armed criminals who are after you or your loved ones, usually the numbers are against you!
Many times ignorance or bogus knowledge leads to a type of cognitive bias that causes people to overestimate their knowledge or ability, particularly in areas with which they have little to no experience.
Here we see the defender immobilized the attacker but at the same time he has remained static himself. In a case the perpetrator has accomplices our defender is vulnerable to an attack. Also with this technique he does not control the hands of the opponent who if he is armed with a knife or other sharp object can easily stab him. Here is a violated basic rule of self-defense: "Never stand still and never put yourself to a dead end."
Here the defender got a grip on the perp's gun but he doesn't move the muzzle away .He is still in the line of fire. His concern is to punch the bad guy in the face. Wrong! Fatal mistake!
He is attempting to disarm the perp and the pistol's muzzle is pointing at his face at the same time the perp's other hand is free to attack him. Avoid it!!!
You must clear and control the muzzle when doing a gun disarm. You must clear it off of yourself and not direct it towards another innocent person. You must have control of that gun so they can’t pull it back or just randomly fire and hit other people. That means wrapping your hand and fingers securely around the slide. No fingers in front of the muzzle!
If you are going to disarm an armed with a firearm assailant, you must attack and control the weapon in a way that it is not going to endanger innocent bystanders, if any. In the photo above everything is happening in the wrong way.
Before reacting you must make decisions depending on the circumstances.Your reaction must be immediate and decisive. The first mistake can be the last. Luck counts but don't count on luck.
If you ever need to defend your life using a knife you have to surprise your opponent.Pull your knife unexpectedly and be quick and ruthless.Prefer to stab rather than cut.Go for the thoracic area, the neck, the femoral artery, the anus, the brachial artery or the groin. You must have a knife that is easy to deploy and you must carry it in a way that is easy to pull it when the need arise.
Chose a knife with a strait blade and keep the edge razor sharp. Avoid knives with curved blades (you can't stab).
Nighttime activities involve much lower-contrast surroundings than they would during the day. The Pelli Robson contrast sensitivity chart tests your ability to detect letters that are gradually less contrasted with the white background
Most crimes happen at night and in low light conditions. So most of your training should be in a low light environment.
You don't need only muscle memory (to perform a task automatically through repetition) for your body but also for your eyes to rely on peripheral more than central vision. With the Raptor Krav Maga self-defense system you learn to fight in the dark. Darkness will be your friend and not your enemy. It will offer you cover and unpleasant surprises to the attacker.
What should you do if you suspect that you're being followed?Don't go home. Instead, go to a public area e.g. a restaurant and call the police. Then alert the manager. This way, if the stalker comes in, there's someone who knows what is going on.
A father caught a church minister inappropriately touching his 9-year-old son at a school bus top Wednesday, after which the father gave the minister a serious beating, Oklahoma City policetold KWTV-DT.
Michael Coghill, 33, was arrested Wednesday on a child sex crime complaint, the station said, adding that Lakehoma Church of Christ in Mustang had listed him on its website as a minister. But as of Friday afternoon the site doesn't list Coghill as a staff member.
To assume women are easy prey would consequently assert that men are stronger and always the attackers. In the long run it isn’t small versus big, but planning versus surprise. Women are victims since they’re taken by surprise from the attacker and in a vital moment, they don’t know what to do.
What do Self-Defense Tactics do for You? If someone grabbed you from behind, do you know what to do? If you were trapped against a wall, how do you escape? If you don't know the answers to those questions, you’re in danger of becoming a statistic of a violent physical and/or sexual assault. Although you can not change the old stereotype, you may change your mentality. A rapist will still stalk you but you don't need to be his next victim.
Fear can be your worst threat in the minutes before an assault. Those few seconds of confusion and consciousness since you suddenly understand what’s happening to you can cause you to become petrified. You might feel that the worst is unavoidable. This is a natural reaction. The objective isn’t to rid yourself of this fear but to get beyond it. That feeling will come in and go out as fast because you know you’ve been trained to overcome a situation.
A knife fight broke out between Algerian illegal immigrants resulting in the death of one of them. This took place at a time when the place was full of innocent passers-by.
In particular, as thestival.gr reports, the 20-year-old perpetrator of the murder entered a fast food restaurant in Aristotelous Str. covered in blood, grabbed a knife and ran to Makedonikis Aminis Str., where he stabbed to death the 24-year-old, who allegedly attacked him.
