If you are going to disarm an armed with a firearm assailant, you must attack and control the weapon in a way that it is not going to endanger innocent bystanders, if any. In the photo above everything is happening in the wrong way.

Self-defense using a knife by George Mimmis
Chose a knife with a strait blade and keep the edge razor sharp. Avoid knives with curved blades (you can't stab).

Fighting in the dark by George Mimmis
Most crimes happen at night and in low light conditions. So most of your training should be in a low light environment.
You don't need only muscle memory
(to perform a task automatically through repetition) for your body but also for your
eyes to rely on peripheral more than central vision.
With the Raptor Krav Maga self-defense system you learn to fight in the dark.
Darkness will be your friend and not your enemy.
It will offer you cover and unpleasant surprises to the attacker.

How to stay safe in public places - by George Mimmis
What should you do if you suspect that you're being followed?Don't go home. Instead, go to a public area e.g. a restaurant and call the police. Then alert the manager. This way, if the stalker comes in, there's someone who knows what is going on.

Some good news , a pedophile paid the price!
A father caught a church minister inappropriately touching his 9-year-old son at a school bus top Wednesday, after which the father gave the minister a serious beating, Oklahoma City police told KWTV-DT.
Michael Coghill, 33, was arrested Wednesday on a child sex crime complaint, the station said, adding that Lakehoma Church of Christ in Mustang had listed him on its website as a minister. But as of Friday afternoon the site doesn't list Coghill as a staff member.

Don't be a victim - By George Mimmis
Self-Defense: Turning Fear Into Action
To assume that women are simply “easy prey” is to misunderstand the nature of violence. An assault is not necessarily a contest of size or strength. In many real-world situations, the decisive factors are awareness, timing, preparation, surprise, and the ability to act under pressure.
An attacker may rely on surprise and the victim’s momentary confusion. In those critical seconds, hesitation can become a serious disadvantage. Self-defense training is not about making you stronger than an attacker. It is about preparing you to recognize danger, respond decisively, and create an opportunity to escape.
What can self-defense training do for you?
If someone grabbed you from behind, would you know how to react?
If you were pushed against a wall, would you know how to create space and escape?
If someone suddenly attacked you, would you freeze—or would you have a plan?
These are not hypothetical questions. In a violent confrontation, there may be no time to think through a technique for the first time. Training gives you the opportunity to practice appropriate responses before you need them.
You cannot control the actions of an attacker. You cannot eliminate every risk. But you can improve your awareness, preparation, confidence, and ability to respond under stress.
Fear Is Natural. Panic Doesn't Have to Control You.
Fear is one of the body's natural responses to danger. In the moments immediately before or during an assault, you may experience confusion, disbelief, hesitation, or even temporary freezing. These reactions are not signs of weakness—they are natural responses to a sudden threat.
The objective of self-defense training is not to eliminate fear.
The objective is to learn how to act despite it.
Through realistic and progressive training, you can become more familiar with the physical and psychological demands of a threatening situation. Instead of relying entirely on instinct in an unfamiliar situation, you can draw upon practiced responses and a clear mindset: recognize the threat, act decisively, and get to safety.
A violent attacker may choose the time, place, and circumstances of an assault. Your preparation determines how you respond when those circumstances suddenly change.
Self-defense is not about looking for a fight.
It is about being prepared to survive one—and escape it.

Knife attacks in public places is an everyday occurrence . By George Mimmis
- A knife fight broke out between Algerian illegal immigrants resulting in the death of one of them. This took place at a time when the place was full of innocent passers-by.
- In particular, as thestival.gr reports, the 20-year-old perpetrator of the murder entered a fast food restaurant in Aristotelous Str. covered in blood, grabbed a knife and ran to Makedonikis Aminis Str., where he stabbed to death the 24-year-old, who allegedly attacked him.
- Are you ready to face a similar situation? Can you defend yourself or your loved ones?

As soon as we move away from the dangerous place we call the police and report the attack clearly without panic screams and unnecessary information. We describe the terrorist if we have seen him and the exact point of the attack.
